Leaders can include: administrators, PLS, mentors, Building Leadership Team members, and teacher leaders. Opportunities for learning and collaboration will fill both days. This event is for DCSD employees only.

Engage middle school students through outdoor learning, indoor gardens, composting and more! In this session we will explore how integrating sustainability initiatives into core and elective curriculum promotes student engagement, allows for creative differentiation and relates directly to Colorado Academic Standards. Attendees will examine examples of successful projects in DCSD middle schools, analyze potential school sustainability projects and learn how the new middle school elective “Global Sustainability” enhances student understanding of key concepts related to the 2020 Colorado Academic Standards.
